Ingredients


8 cups water

1 apple (red)

3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

1 lemon

2 tablespoons ginger root (sliced)

1 cinnamon stick

Introduction

According to Ayurveda (the ancient Indian wellness philosophy), it is very important for certain body types to drink warm liquids. It is said to feed the inner fire and thereby aid in digestion and weight loss. Cinnamon is also often recommended in Ayurvedic diets because of its high amount of antioxidants that help protect and clean the body as well as some great anti-inflammatory properties. Apple cider vinegar is also added to this warm detox water to help lower your cholesterol and reduce blood sugar levels.

Preparation

Wash the apple, lemon and ginger very well and cut them into thin slices.
Pour the warm water into a jar and mix all the ingredients together.
Serve warm or drink at your desired temperature.
