Ingredients


1 banana

1 cup almond milk (or water)

1 cup baby spinach (or spinach)

1 tablespoon plant-based gluten-free protein powder

1 teaspoon spirulina

Introduction

One of the most nutrient-dense foods in the world, spirulina is a superfood that you can't afford to miss out on. This blue-green algae comes with an impressive list of health benefits, like helping to detoxify the body of heavy metals, high protein content and lowering your cholesterol. It is hard to believe you can get all of that in just one smoothie.

Preparation

Peel and slice the banana.
Wash the spinach.
In a blender, combine the coconut milk, banana, protein powder, spinach and spirulina. Add some ice. Blend until smooth and creamy.
Pour the smoothie into a glass and enjoy.
