Ingredients


1/2 banana

1/2 cup cucumber

1 cup baby spinach

3/4 cup water

1 celery rib (single branch/rib)

2 tablespoons lemons (squeezed)

2 tablespoons plant-based gluten-free protein powder

Introduction

We all realize by now that green smoothies are a great detox food, but did you know they don't actually have to taste like you're drinking rabbit food? Sneaking a banana into this green detox smoothie gives it just that extra touch of sweetness and makes drinking all those green healthy foods incredibly easy and enjoyable. Of course, the healthy properties of all those greens still remain. Celery has been proven to reduce inflammation and lower blood pressure, while spinach will load you up with iron and vitamin K.

Preparation

Wash the spinach, cucumber and celery very well. Cut the celery stems into small pieces and the cucumber into cubes. Peel the banana and cut it into small pieces.
Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend on high speed until smooth. Add ice to taste and whisk again.
