Cinnamon Baked Pears
This stunningly decadent dessert is softly flavored with cinnamon, cloves and vanilla. It is so sweet and delicious that no one would ever guess it's actually very healthy!
|Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F or 175 degrees C.|
|Peel the pears, halve them and carefully scoop out the cores. Place the pears in a baking dish.|
|Mix together the boiling water, maple syrup, cinnamon sticks and vanilla. Then spoon the mixture on top of the pears. Bake in the oven for 30 minutes, pouring the juices over the pears once or twice as they cook.|
|To serve, spoon the remaining juices over the pears and serve warm or cold with slivered almonds.|
