Ingredients


3/4 cup pitted dates (chopped)

2 tablespoons raw cacao powder

3 tablespoons peanut butter

2 tablespoons shredded coconut

3 tablespoons shelled hemp seed (or hemp protein powder)

1 tablespoon chia seeds

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 orange (finely grated zest and squeezed)

1 tablespoon walnut (chopped)

Introduction

These superfood bars are packed with lots of good healthy fats, nutrients, and a high dose of protein. You only need a couple of minutes to whip up these healthy, no-bake bars and you've got your perfect snack to grab on-the-go!

Preparation

Put all the ingredients (minus the orange and the toppings) in the food processor and mix until the ingredients are well blended and a ball forms. (You may need to stop a few times and scrape down the sides).
Zest the orange and add it to the food processor. Squeeze in 4-5 tablespoons of orange juice, then mix until the ingredients are well blended.
Transfer the mixture into a small square baking pan lined with wax or parchment paper and firmly press it down with a spatula or a cookie roller. Make sure the mixture is flat and spread evenly.
Sprinkle the chopped walnuts (or any other nut).
Cover with cling wrap and place in the fridge for at least an hour before slicing.
Chop it into bars and store refrigerated in an airtight container.
