Ingredients


3/4 cup almond milk (or coconut milk)

1 tablespoon plant-based gluten-free protein powder

3/4 tablespoon raw cacao powder

1 banana (frozen or fresh)

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1 teaspoon organic almond butter

Introduction

This cacao protein smoothie would make a great healthy alternative to your morning latte. Cacao is not called the food of the gods for nothing, as it is full of healthy minerals such as iron, calcium, magnesium and copper. The protein powder adds a nice extra kick, especially if you've been working out in the morning. Meanwhile, the banana will provide you with a healthy dose of potassium. Above all else, though, this smoothie tastes amazing!

Preparation

Cut the banana into pieces, then place it in a blender with the almond milk,plant-based protein powder, cacao powder, almond butter and cinnamon. Blend until fluid and smooth.
Pour the smoothie into a glass and serve immediately.
