1 cup water

1 tablespoon chia seeds

Introduction

If you are struggling with constipation, there are two things you should do. First of all, add more fiber to your diet. This means eating your veggies. Secondly, drink more water! To give that second option an incredible boost that will have you moving your bowels in no time, add some chia seeds to your water. When combined with water, chia seeds form a gel-like outer layer that can help keep your stool formation optimal. Of course, it also adds a nice touch to your boring, everyday glass of water.

Preparation

Fill a glass jar or cup with drinking water. Add chia seeds and mix well. Let the mixture set for 20 minutes.
Optional: Add some lemon juice and a 1/4 teaspoon of maple syrup.
