Ingredients


3/4 cup water

1 cup baby kale

1 pear (cored)

1/2 cup cucumber (chopped)

1 banana

1 teaspoon ginger root (peeled and freshly grated)

2 tablespoons parsley (leaves)

2 tablespoons lemons (squeezed)

Introduction

Green smoothies are a staple in every detox, as they help you get the best out of your body's own detox system. This pear, ginger, kale, parsley, cucumber and banana smoothie packs as many health benefits together as you could possibly fit in your blender, with tons of phytonutrients coming from the pears (the skins especially), anti-inflammatory compounds from the ginger and improved heart health from the parsley. Of course, cucumber will help keep you hydrated and the banana will provide you with most of your daily potassium needs. All in all, this green smoothie is as detoxifying as it gets!
