Ingredients


1 cup carrot (peeled and roughly chopped)

3/4 cup almond milk (unsweetened)

1/2 banana (fresh or frozen)

1/2 teaspoon turmeric

1 teaspoon ginger root (grated)

1 tablespoon plant-based gluten-free protein powder

Introduction

Turmeric and carrot are a match made in heaven. Besides its amazing taste, this brightly colored smoothie will give you an enormous boost of vitamin A thanks to the carrots, while the turmeric will help reduce inflammation, improve your brain function and load you up with some very powerful antioxidants.

Preparation

Peel and slice the banana and carrots.
In a blender, combine the carrots, almond milk, banana, protein powder, turmeric and ginger. Add 2-3 ice cubes. Blend until smooth and creamy.
Pour the smoothie into a glass and serve.
