5 apples (peeled and cut into small cubes)

1 tablespoon almond meal

2 tablespoons pure maple syrup

1 teaspoon cinnamon (powder)

1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

1 cup oats (rolled)

2 tablespoons almond meal (for the topping)

3/4 cup pecans nuts

2 tablespoons pure maple syrup (for the topping)

3 tablespoons virgin coconut oil (melted)

1 teaspoon cinnamon (powder)

Introduction

Apple crumble is the perfect autumn dessert enhanced by a sweet aromas of vanilla and spices that will warm your house and heart. It's super simple to make and always a crowd-pleaser!

Preparation

Preheat oven to 180C.
In a large bowl, mix the apples, almond meal, maple syrup, cinnamon, and vanilla extract.
Pour the mixture into the baking tray and set aside.
In a separate bowl, mix the crumble topping ingredients (rolled oats, almond meal, pecans, maple syrup, melted coconut oil, and cinnamon powder) until combined together.
Spread the crumble mixture over the filling in the dish. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the crumble is toasted and the apples are soft.
